Long live the King (of Tuzla)

I'm sure I am not the only one here, especially amongst the non-Dutch speakers, who is over-the-moon at the release of the King of Tuzla(finally),the English translation of Arnold Jansen op de Haar's De koning van Tuzla, nor the first one to have read it. Haven't you just fallen in love with Tijmen? He is such a likeable gentleman... I cannot wait for the sequel Angel to see what happens to him next. And it was quite interesting to revisit the Bosnian war, but from the people's point of view, not through military strategies and official explanations. As a Brit, I have to say it is quite shameful how we've kind of abandoned this war to the history books. It is almost forgotten.

While we wait for Angel, I thought we could share our thoughts on Tijmen and the novel in general. Now I've read it, I want to keep it alive in my mind until Angel gets here...

Ok, perhaps I've been overzealous, after all it has literally only just been released (well, in English), I haven't even given you all time to complete it, and not everyone is as obssessive with books as I am  .

Perhaps we could use this forum post to discuss the book as you read it, and also if anyone has any questions, pop them here! You know I'll be only too happy to answer if I can. :D

It'd be great if we could get the author on here to answer some questions too! ;) Especially for those looking for a more authoritative source than just a crazy fan  Well, just an idea
