The Artists in Residency (AIR) programme, run by the Africa Centre based in Cape Town, supports artists from Africa who are provocative, innovative, relevant and highly engaged with both social issues and their art forms.

The AIR 2012 programme received 281 applicants from 34 countries, and Karen Jennings was one of 11 artists and writers to win a residency this year.
Karen’s residency will be hosted by the Thamgidi Foundation and she will be based in the Netherlands.
